I ain't what I use 2B

This powerful message centers on transformation and identity in Christ, anchored by the declaration: 'I ain't what I used to be.' We journey through the story of the demoniac in Mark 5, a man who lived among tombs, bound by chains no one could break, crying out and cutting himself. Yet when he encountered Jesus, everything changed. The demons were cast out, and suddenly he sat clothed and in his right mind—a complete transformation. But the story doesn't end with deliverance; it moves to purpose. Jesus told him to go and preach, to tell everyone what had happened. This reveals a crucial truth: once we're no longer what we used to be, we must know who we are now. Our identity as believers isn't optional—we are new creatures, masterpieces, heirs with Christ, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people. We can't blend into the world because we've been set apart. The message challenges us to stop being ashamed of the gospel, to leave the 'graveyards' of dead relationships and destructive habits, and to walk boldly in our inheritance. Every morning brings fresh mercy, not because we earned it, but because we are sons and daughters. That's our true inheritance—not material wealth, but relationship with the Father who runs to meet us when we come home.
