For over five decades, Bishop Solomon Smith has walked faithfully in the calling of God, with a heart anchored in worship, compassion, and the Great Commission. What began in May 1961 as a response to God’s voice has grown into a ministry that has touched lives across generations.
On July 9, 1991, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Smith founded Mount Moriah Christian Center, a non-denominational, full gospel church built on the power of the Word and the presence of God. His mission has always echoed the heart of
Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations...”
For 55 years, Bishop Smith has done just that. He has preached the gospel with boldness, love, and a passion for souls. Bishop Smith’s heart is especially burdened for the broken, the bound, and the forgotten. He has been a spiritual father to the fatherless, a shepherd to the hurting, and a voice of hope to the lost.
His life is a living example of Psalm 37:23:
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way.”
Every step of Bishop Smith’s journey has been guided by divine purpose, and his obedience has left a lasting legacy.
